Description

This robust Folding Suitcase Ramp is ideal for providing access to houses and cars for wheelchairs, scooters, walkers and rollators. The ramp is supplied in two parts that can be easily slotted together and secured with the supplied pin. Constructed from sturdy, rust-free aluminium with strong carrying handles attached, making the unit portable and convenient to store. This versatile ramp has a hole and security pin on its upper end to secure the ramps to a step or back of a vehicle. You may need to drill a hole on your step etc to secure it. This same pin can also be used with another hole to hold them closed when folded for storage or transport. Super! Ordered these as my Mum has a new wheelchair which is just too heavy for me. Easy to fold and unfold. Good length making it easy to just drive the wheelchair up and down them. Did not slip off the boot, although I did protect my boot and bumper with a rubber mat. Here are all the actual dimensions too as loads of people seem to ask. Unfolded and bolted together they are 72" long and internal width 29". Sounds long but I was able to load and unload in a disabled bay without being in anyones way. When folded they are 5" deep each, 37" long and 15.5" wide including handles and hinges. each ramp is 14" wide, and I did check with the company that you can if necessary use them unbolted together although this may allow them to move slightly. We also got an old curtain to wrap inbetween folded ramps when stacked in the car to stop any rattly noises. these are great... Solid yet light enough for wimpy me to handle, and one you've done it once or twice.....so quick.
